We offer fishing trips year round. The type of fishing available on any particular day is dependant upon the season and weather. Please plan accordingly.
Fishing is our forte and there are many types of fishing for you to enjoy with Pickett Hill Guide Service. We can take you to remote locations for brook trout, fish the various ponds and streams throughout the area, or take you on a lakeside fishing trip for small mouths and trout. Ice fishing during the colder months of the year is part of what makes Vermont a great place to be during the Winter. Weather permitting, there are a number of lakes on which we can ice fish, including Lake Champlain. During your ice fishing trip, a warm shanty will be waiting with a delicious home-cooked meal. Vermont offers many ice fishing derbies throughout the state and guiding these events is something we truly enjoy. Our keen ability to locate the right areas for fishing and to present the proper bait choices and methods comes from going out there, year after year, and gathering knowledge on what works and what doesn't. We'll save you the decades worth of research and pass much of this knowledge on to you when you come along for a fishing trip. This is a great family experience and is safe and fun for everyone of all ages! Equipment is provided. You will need to bring warm clothing along with boots, gloves, and a hat. A Vermont fishing license is required by everyone over 12 years of age.
